Moments Lab Partners with EBU to Accelerate Live News Distribution to Public Service Media Worldwide
European Broadcasting Union editorial teams can now quickly surface moments from breaking news events and distribute clips to journalists stationed worldwide.
Moments Lab, the all-in-one platform for AI content management and creation, is pleased to announce its partnership with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the world's foremost alliance of public service media organisations, representing 113 member broadcasters across more than 50 countries.
EBU has deployed Moments Lab's platform, powered by MXT multimodal AI, to manage live content and global event coverage. Live streams of major events flow directly into Moments Lab (known internally at EBU as NewsDirect) where EBU's editorial team easily find key moments and make them available to journalists worldwide. Member organizations, including some of Europe's largest public service media, access curated content in real time to power their news production.

EBU’s Moments Lab partnership launched with coverage of the Munich Security Conference, and the platform is now fully operational for EBU's live news output, which encompasses more than 3,000 hours of high-profile political gatherings annually, including Davos, the G7, and NATO summits. Rather than relying on manual, time-intensive search processes, journalists accessing Moments Lab can surface key moments in seconds, dramatically accelerating their editorial workflows.
