About Amazon S3

Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) is the object storage service from Amazon Web Services. Media companies use it to keep masters, finished programming and archive material in the cloud. S3 storage classes let you trade a lower storage price for a higher retrieval price, depending on how frequently you plan to access the data.

Connect your S3 bucket and your files become searchable by moment: use the Moments Lab platform to ask for a scene in plain words, then clip it and publish it in the browser. Nothing has to be ripped out to make that work, because your masters stay in your bucket and your storage tiers and rules stay as they are.

How it works

Moments Lab makes a proxy of the content located in your bucket. That is a lightweight preview copy, and it is what gets indexed, viewed and clipped inside the platform.

Your high-res masters stay in your S3 bucket, in the storage tiers you chose. When you render or share a video in its original state, Moments Lab calls back to your bucket. It works from the master, in the right file format.
