Brut to Leverage Enhanced Cloud Collaboration and Multimodal AI to Accelerate Content Creation at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, May 13–24, 2025

Moments Lab, a leader in AI video discovery, and LucidLink, the pioneer in real-time cloud collaboration, are proud to announce the integration of Moments Lab’s latest multimodal AI engine, MXT-2, with LucidLink’s newly enhanced product. This powerful combination will be deployed by global media brand Brut during the 78th Cannes Film Festival, taking place from 13 May – 24 May 2025, building on the record-breaking success of their collaboration at last year’s event.

Moments Lab’s most advanced AI model to date, twice awarded at NAB 2025, delivers video understanding at scale by generating rich, time-coded natural language descriptions of footage. With new features like Custom Moments and Custom Insights, MXT-2 enables teams to instantly identify compelling scenes, classify themes and  generate editorial content from editorial video. The AI has been trained on over 1.5 billion images, and outperforms Google Research’s VidSeq by 47% on video sequencing. LucidLink’s latest platform, also unveiled and twice awarded at NAB 2025, introduces enterprise-ready features including a mobile app for iOS and Android, web-based file browsing, dynamic tiering for storage management, and seamless integration with AWS S3. These enhancements provide creative teams with instant, secure access to large media files from anywhere, eliminating the need for downloads or file syncing.

Brut, an official media partner of the Cannes Film Festival, will utilize the integrated Moments Lab MXT-2 and LucidLink solution to streamline its coverage of the Cannes Film Festival. By leveraging MXT-2’s AI capabilities and LucidLink’s real-time collaboration tools, Brut’s teams across Paris, New York, and New Delhi will be able to rapidly access live footage, identify key moments, and produce engaging content for audiences around the world.

“With MXT-2, we’re pushing the boundaries of what AI can do for video teams,” said Philippe Petitpont, CEO and co-founder of Moments Lab. “By further enhancing our partnership with LucidLink, we’re equipping organizations like Brut with the tools to create and deliver even faster, smarter stories at scale, especially in the fast-paced environment of Cannes.”

“LucidLink is committed to enabling real-time global collaboration for creative professionals,” said Richard Yu, Chief Product Officer, LucidLink. “We’re excited to see our next-gen product powering live production workflows at Cannes alongside Moments Lab’s AI. This is a game-changer for creators and producers under tight deadlines.”

“Covering Cannes means capturing magic as it happens and getting it in front of our audience instantly,” said Guillaume Lacroix, CEO and co-founder of Brut. “With Moments Lab’s MXT-2 and LucidLink’s seamless access, we’re able to work across time zones and borders without missing a beat.”

Both Moments Lab and LucidLink will be exhibiting at MPTS in London 14-15 May 2025 on stands T6 and M59 respectively.
