Moments Lab and Carrick Skills

Teams whose content and metadata sit across their own storage and systems used to need a migration project before they could search or use any of it in a new platform. With Carrick-Flow as the Moments Lab gateway, the portal connects directly to that existing infrastructure, so your team finds, previews and pulls the moments they need without moving files first. Your files, storage rules and existing systems stay exactly where they are: Moments Lab works alongside what you already run instead of replacing it.

How it works

Carrick-Flow is the workflow engine behind the Moments Lab gateway. It sits between the Moments Lab platform and your own infrastructure, on-prem, in the cloud, or both, and moves files and metadata between them so nothing about your existing setup has to change.

Content and metadata can move from your systems into the Moments Lab platform for search and discovery, and updates can flow back the other way. Carrick-Stor, its storage and asset-tracking module, keeps a record of every copy of a file across your infrastructure and Moments Lab, and always serves the right version for the job, so no one hunts for the original high-res file.

The Business Rules Module keeps storage and file-handling rules in one configuration page instead of buried in every workflow, so they're easier to maintain as your setup evolves. Not every task can be automated. Some need a person's judgment, a decision or a data input, and Carrick-Flow's Human Tasks feature builds that interaction into the workflow.

Workflows can be launched from the Moments Lab platform, run on a schedule, triggered by a watchfolder, or called by another system through an open API, so Carrick-Flow fits how your team already works.

It suits teams running their own storage and infrastructure who want Moments Lab to work alongside it, not replace it.
